” Afterwards he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen, and said…”                                                      (Mark 16:14-18)

In this commission, Jesus pointed out our message, our story, our tale and our ministry and also backed it up with the miraculous credentials that only he could give. This message is the gospel, the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The ministry is to share this message with the whole world.

Mark 16:15-18″ … go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.”

Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of this, you must try to carry this message to others and to practice these principles in all your affairs.

Each one of us has a valuable tale to tell. You may be shy and feel awkward about speaking. No! It’s not an issue of technicalities nor feelings, it’s about Jesus! You think that what you have to share is disgraceful and shameful but Jesus doesn’t think like that about us no matter our past story. Hebrews 2:11 “for both he that sanctified and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.” You must know that your recovery story (story of redemption) can help others who are trapped back where you were. Are you willing to allow God to use you help others?

Father, I thank you for giving me a story for the whole world. I stand to boldly declare it to the nations of the earth. I am not ashamed of the gospel because you are not ashamed of me. My story shall liberate many from darkness in Jesus’ Name!
